Parts of the 15-acre gardens that surround the house have been re-worked to designs by Arabella Lennox-Boyd. There is a string of lakes, a fernery and a walled garden with a camellia house and a gingko tree planted in 1780. The parkland has wonderful trees including a grove or redwoods planted in 1851.
