Clytha Park

Clytha Park, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.

Halfway between Abergavenny and Raglan on the old road (not the A40). A riverside walk from the main car park joins a permissive path skirting the park affording excellent views.

One of the foremost 18th century landscape parks in Wales, with an exceptional folly - Clytha Castle - which acted as an eyecatcher/gazebo. Very fine trees in the park, a lake and walled garden dating from 1790.

Un o brif barciau-tirlun y 18fed ganrif yng Nghymru lle ceir ffoli anhygoel – Castell Cleidda – a adeiladwyd fel gazebo i ddal y llygad. Mae’r coed yn y parc yn hardd iawn, ceir llyn a gardd furiog sy’n dyddio o 1790.
