Set in the magnificent 18th century parkland of the former Middleton Hall, the National Botanic Garden of Wales is situated within a 568 acre estate enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding Tywi valley. The Garden’s centrepiece is The Great Glasshouse - the world’s largest single span glasshouse - with plant species from Mediterranean areas of the world set around rock faces, ravines, streams and waterfalls. Parallel to the extensive herbaceous broadwalk, visitors can follow the restoration of the unique early 19th century double-walled garden, before visiting the immaculately restored Stable Block and Physicians of Mydffai exhibition. The highly imaginatve Roots and Shoots Adventure Zone is a magnet for visitors old and young.
