12 miles east of Aberystwyth. From Devil's Bridge/Pontarfynach via B4575, first right to Pwllpeiran, right again. Car park on B4574, uphill from Hafod Church.

Celebrated 18th century Picturesque landscape in rugged upland, created by Thomas Johnes from 1783. Later additions to grounds by the Duke of Newcastle and T.J. Waddingham. The mansion was demolished (1958) but the grounds are undergoing conservation and restoration by a partnership of Forest Enterprise and the Hafod Trust.

 

Tirlun Pictiwrésg (Gradd I) o’r 18fed ganrif ar ucheldir garw. Fe’i crewyd gan Thomas Johnes o 1783. Ychwanegodd Dug Newcastle a T.J. Waddingham at y tiroedd yn ddiweddarach. Dymchwelwyd y plasty ym 1958, mae’r tiroedd yn cael eu hadfer a’u gwarchod trwy bartneriaeth rhwng Menter Coedwigaeth ac Ymddiriedolaeth yr Hafod.
