| Historic Houses Association The HHA represents the interests of Britain’s historic houses, castles and gardens that remain in private ownership. As a Friend of the HHA you have the opportunity to visit all those houses and gardens open to the public, free. www.hha.org.uk

| The National Trust Founded in 1895 to preserve places of historic interest or natural beauty permanently for the nation to enjoy, The National Trust now protects and opens over 200 historic houses and gardens and 49 industrial properties and mills. Membership affords free entry to most Trust properties open to the public. | The National Gardens Scheme [NGS] Founded some 80 years ago, the NGS is a county-by-county scheme whereby hundreds of lovely gardens, many of them private, of great quality, character and interest are opened to the public in aid of charity.
